This error occurs because the characters received the command of walking a certain number of steps, so when it gets stuck in an object it normally can’t walk through, and you don’t wait until all characters stop moving, they wll get stuck there and unable to complete the number of steps they’ve been told to take. If after the scene where Italy locks everyone, it just freezes and stays there forever, redo the scene and patiently wait for everyone to enter the cell and stop moving before passing the dialogue. If you were already Japan to begin with, maybe just go to your oldest save and try redoing it because I really don’t remember how to fix this one. If a character turns transparent, try going back to another save before that happens and use Japan as your main player. If you get the Game Over screen once a cutscene is over, that means the only character in your party was KO-d, so make sure you always save your game in different slots and that all of your players are always healthy.
